Encouraging students to communicate within their class or to other audiences is a key part of their learning. In-class strategies include students presenting their findings as a presentation or a scientific poster. Students could develop games or a story book for younger students, and then explain their game or lead an activity with another class.
A good example of communicating the information learned by the students can be found on the RM@Schools’ YouTube channel, where students created a video on graphene (video below).
Another option used by Liceo N. Copernico, Bologna (Italy) was to conduct a survey on graphene with the public and then create a journal for the school to record and disseminate the results of the survey (Figure 58). A creative way to engage all students in the area of substitution and nanoscience.
