The Global Challenge of Phosphorous in Agriculture

Students from high school Fermi in Bologna prepared a survey on the role of Phosphorous, one of the principal ingredients of mineral fertilizers, bound to be depleted in the coming years. The survey was distributed to about 40 exhibitors at EXPO MacFrut 2022.

In addition, RM Ambassador Ornella Francioso held a lecture titled “The Global Challenge of Phosphorus in Agriculture: How to Ensure the Sustainability of a Non-Renewable Resource in the Near Future.” At the conclusion of this talk, students presented to the audience the results of the survey conducted previously among their classmates (about 400) on the issue of raw materials.
