RM Ambassdors from University of Banja Luka participated to the event titled “Talent Camp 2022” organized for the most talented students from the region of Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ministry of Education and Culture organized this first “Talent Camp” on the mountain of Jahorina, bringing together students who are the winners of national competitions in the school year 2021/2022 in sports, music and scientific disciplines. The event was designed to show that talents are important and that they will lead the country in the future.
RM Ambassadors participated with two workshops and lectures on the mineral resources of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prof. Suzana Gotovac Atlagić presented the mineral wealth of Bosnia and Herzegovina with attractive slides and colorful pictures from the field work with pupils and students and some fascinating data on tens of millions of tons of remaining iron, zinc, opal, kaolin, bentonite, etc. and the great successes of domestic mining and the chemical industry. This raised students’ awareness on the importance of natural resources. Pupils were asked challenging questions in the field of natural minerals and in accordance with the answers given a symbolic prize with the project logo (pencils, notebooks and sports bags). Also, the project team had its own stand with attractive demonstrations of chemical experiments with minerals performed by the high school teacher and project part-time researcher Dragana Mirošljević. The stand was crowded most of the time gaining attention of teacher, journalists and most importantly, pupils.
