The School of Mining and Energy Engineering of the Universidad Politècnica de Madrid (UPM) organized an award ceremony for the winners of the competition CRMs4Hospitals, launched by UPM last year: students enrolled in a Spanish educational institution in the school year 2020/2021, had been invited to participate to the contest by presenting a poster on Critical Raw Materials (CRM) for Hospitals.
On the 28th of April 2021, the winner among the high school students participating to the competition CRMs4Hospitals were awarded for their posters on critical raw materials and their use in hospitals. The winners were invited at the School of mining and energy engineering of the Universidad Politècnica de Madrid (UPM) to receive their prizes. With due caution due to the Covid-19 emergency, it was possible to carry out the ceremony in presence.
The CRM4Hospitals competition gave to the RM@Schools Ambassadors the opportunity to keep in touch with students by stimulating them to consider the importance of raw materials in medicine to cope with the difficulties originated by COVID-19.
